Top Non-Conference Games Scheduled in 2024

Here are some of the best non-conference college football games scheduled in 2024:

Updated: 4/10/2023

Arkansas at Oklahoma State: For the first time in over forty years, the Razorbacks and Cowboys will share the same field when they play in Stillwater. Arkansas and Oklahoma State have met 46 times on the gridiron - with most of the games (32) being played between 1943 and 1980. The Razorbacks currently lead the overall series, that began in 1912, 30-15-1 and have won five straight over the Cowboys.

Clemson vs. Georgia (Atlanta): A taste of what’s to come because these rivals will begin a four-game series in 2029! This will be the second straight matchup on a neutral field (2021 was in Charlotte) after having only played at a neutral site in Augusta, Georgia from 1909-1913. The Bulldogs have a significant series advantage over the Tigers, as Georgia has won 43 of the 65 games between the two teams.

LSU vs. USC (Las Vegas): What a difference a year makes - as both the Tigers and Trojans have new high profile head coaches in Brian Kelly and Lincoln Riley since the teams agreed to play 18 months ago. In fact, it will be USC’s first game as a member of the Big Ten! These teams first met in 1979 (Trojan win in Baton Rouge), and again in 1984 - when the Tigers evened the series in Los Angeles. Surprising to me that they have played only twice…

Miami at Florida: Without a doubt, the state of Florida and college football fans across the nation have been waiting to see this game once again. In their last meeting back in 2019, the Gators defeated the Hurricanes 24-20, but Miami holds a slight advantage in the overall series, 29-27. For only the seventh time since 2002 we will get the presentation of the Florida Cup - a trophy given to the “State Champion”.

New Mexico at Arizona: There’s a history between these two programs as they spent time together in the Border Conference (1931-1947) and Western Athletic Conference (1962-1977) before Arizona left the WAC for the Pac-10. The Lobos and Wildcats played for the Kit Carson Rifle from 1938 to 1990 - and the matchups were intense.

Notre Dame at Texas A&M: The start of a home-and-home series that was agreed to back in 2014. This game will be the first regular-season meeting between the two schools since a 2001 contest that was won by the Aggies in College Station. Notre Dame leads the series 3-2, including two wins in the postseason (Cotton Bowl wins).
