Most Consecutive Winning Seasons - Current (FBS)

Updated: 12/7/23

Nobody fell off this list - but Boise State had to win their last three scheduled games to keep their streak alive, while the Badgers won their last two games to ensure their winning season, as they go into their bowl with a 7-5 record. Added to the list in 2023 were Utah, Memphis, and James Madison - as they have all had ten-straight winning seasons (though 9 of the Dukes winning seasons were in the FCS - but winning on any level for that long is not easy).

Here is the list of FBS teams that have at least ten consecutive seasons with a winning record: (Accidentally omitted Georgia and Ohio State - but I have now corrected that, and I have now added the Hawkeyes, who had to win four of their last five regular season games to ensure another winning season. Wisconsin survived this list with their win over Oklahoma State in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl (what a bowl name…), while the Sooners just fell off the list after losing to the Seminoles last night in the Cheez-It Bowl)

1. Boise State: 26 Seasons (starting 1998)

2. Wisconsin: 22 seasons (starting 2002)

3. Oklahoma State: 18 seasons (starting 2006)

4. Alabama: 16 seasons (starting 2008)

5. Clemson: 13 seasons (starting 2011)

5. Georgia: 13 seasons (starting 2011)

7. Ohio State: 12 seasons (starting 2012)

8. Iowa: 11 seasons (starting 2013)

9. Utah: 10 seasons (starting 2014)

9. Memphis: 10 seasons (starting 2014)

9. James Madison: 10 seasons (starting 2014)

Bonus Fact: Each of Alabama’s winning seasons in this streak have been 10+ wins! Ohio State’s only blemish was three canceled games and a 7-1 record in the shortened 2020 season and Clemson’s first twelve years in this streak were 10+ win seasons - but the most games the Tigers can win this year is 9 with a bowl win.
