Youngest Active FBS Head Coaches

Updated: 2/25/26: Added two new coaches (Tavita Pritchard and Brian Hartline) and added a couple of coaches accidentally omitted from last year’s list (Tre Lamb and Ryan Beard)

Updated: 7/18/24 After pulling together my Coaching Info spreadsheet earlier this summer, I realized it was time to update this blog since there have been some changes. I also want to add that Kris McCullough, the head coach at Texas-Permian Basin (Div. II), is the youngest head coach in NCAA football (age 28). McCullough led the Falcons to the playoffs in his first year after going 10-2 (8-0 conference) during the regular season. Meanwhile Chase Paramore, who was the youngest head coach in all of college football at 26 (Waldorf University - NAIA), is now a wide receiver coach/passing game coordinator at Texas A&M-Commerce (FCS). Lastly, not only are there two former UIW head coaches on this list (G. J. Kinne and Eric Morris), but their current head coach, Clint Killough, is currently the youngest head coach in the FCS.
